Solar System Everything in the solar system is composed of matter except for comets. When antimatter galactic dust enters our solar system, the antimatter is called comets. Our solar system contains the sun, planets, earth, asteroids, and comets. Sun is one of billions of matter stars in the Milky Way Galaxy. The Sun contains approximately 98% of the total solar system mass. Planets are orbiting the Sun. The picture shows the nine planets in our solar system.
Asteroids orbit the sun. Scientists use powerful telescope to see the asteroids; but they are very small and difficult to see. Several hundred thousand asteroids have been discovered. Thousands more are discovered each year with most of the asteroids located between Mars and Jupiter. Comets are natural sources of antimatter. People see comets from the antimatter & matter interactions of the solar wind and interstellar dust particles with the comet's nucleus, coma and tail. The solar wind contains ions of hydrogen, helium and small percentages of heavier ions such as carbon, nitrogen and oxygen
